Our Mission
Breaking the cycle of abuse, finding a newfound peace, and spreading the mission of service and love to all those who struggle from past circumstances. Trauma takes many forms: abuse, accidents, unforeseen circumstances, neglect, and more. We are about serving those who are looking to heal and overcome their past trauma and prevent systemic issues that lead to continuing trauma.

We do this through our three-phase model that is supported by mental health trauma recovery structures. Its phases seek to not only flourish individual recovery but also create ripple effects of change throughout communities.
Our Phases
Phase I
Inception
The Mariposa Project is committed to ensuring that mental health treatment is accessible to everyone, regardless of income. Through partnerships and collaborations with various organizations, we connect individuals to free or affordable resources, helping them access the care they need.
Phase II
Transformation
Through free and accessible educational resources, survivors can deepen their understanding of living a fulfilling life while managing mental illness. I have received training to engage in outreach efforts aimed at helping young adults recognize the signs of mental health challenges and reduce stigma. Additionally, research-based educational materials are available for individuals of all ages on the Mariposa Project website.
Phase III
Rebirth
Through awareness and advocacy, participants in the Mariposa Project are empowered to discover and embrace their own identities while sharing their stories to broaden the project's impact. Survivors of trauma are given opportunities to publicly define their own narratives, helping to challenge labels and stereotypes. Additionally, testimonials in various formats are shared to remind the community that no one is alone in their experiences with trauma.
